Tamborine Mountain : 5
Tugun : 1
30th May, Betty Diamond Field, Tugun
Hardly a cloud in the sky, a firm football pitch and two bustling teams trying to take home the three points - a recipe for a great soccer match! And, not to mention the planes! Tamborine were playing at Betty Diamond field, Tugun, situated at the end of Gold Coast Airport's main runway! Planes were flying low over the field ready to land at the airport; at least one plane every five minutes!
Tamborine came out of the blocks, with E.P scoring his first goal this year, as a defender. Conor then followed up with another. Martin then scored a trademark Tim Cahill goal: the ball hit the bottom of the crossbar, and then bounces just over the goal-line!
Amazing goal!
The half-time score: 3-0 to Tamborine Mtn.
Soon after the whistle blew to restart play, Clancy showed his form with a great strike from the edge of the goalbox! However, Tugun scored from a free kick taking the score to 4-1. Conor scored his second, finishing the game with two goals, and Tamborine finishing with a win! Thanks Tugun for giving us a match!
Here are some pics, (with planes of course)!
